Under the Working Time Regulations 1998, every UK worker is entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid holiday a year — that's 28 days for someone working five days a week. Part-timers on a fixed number of days get exactly the same 5.6 weeks, pro-rated to their pattern, so entitlement scales directly with the days worked: each weekly day is worth 5.6 days of leave.
Bank holidays only count toward the statutory minimum where your contract says so. If your employer gives them on top, part-timers should receive a pro-rated share rather than losing out on the ones that fall on days they don't work. Employers may round the result up to the nearest half or full day, but never down.
