2-Days-a-Week Holiday Entitlement Calculator

Based on the default pattern below, a typical entitlement is 11.2 days. Adjust the inputs for your exact figure.

2 days

11.2 days

(2 days ÷ 5 full-time days) × 28 days = 11.2 days

Audit note

UK rounding rule: employers may round holiday up to the nearest half or full day, never down. Statutory leave is capped at 28 days for anyone working five or more days a week.

How this calculation works

Work a set number of days each week? Your paid holiday is pro-rated from the 5.6 weeks (28 days) a full-time employee gets. Pick your working pattern to see the exact statutory entitlement.

(2 days ÷ 5 full-time days) × 28 days = 11.2 days

Frequently asked questions

How many holiday days for a 2-day week?
Two days a week earns 11.2 days of paid holiday a year on the statutory minimum (2 × 5.6). If your employer's full-time allowance is above 28 days, update the annual allowance to see your true figure.
Why 11.2 and not a whole number?
Pro-rata holiday rarely lands on a round number because it's a fraction of the full-time entitlement. Employers commonly round the result up to 11.5 days for simplicity, which is fine — rounding down is not.
Do I accrue holiday from day one?
Yes. Holiday accrues from your first day of employment. In your first (incomplete) leave year it builds up month by month, which the starters calculator can work out for you.
